Join us for a fun experience and opportunity for learning, celebrating Booker's legacy, and giving to our worthy cause. All silent auction proceeds support our scholarships.
Introducing the Booker T. Washington Legacy Builder Award
The Friends of Booker T. Washington National Monument are pleased to launch the Booker T. Washington Legacy Builder Award. This award honors individuals and/or organizations within Franklin County, Virginia and the surrounding areas whose efforts reflect the enduring values of Booker T. Washington in the following fields:
Education
Promoting the advancement of educational efforts within our community
Health
Advocating for health equity and promoting good health practices
Agriculture
Contributing time and effort to good agricultural practices and promoting education in the agricultural sciences.
Humanitarian Work
Demonstrating efforts to improve the wellbeing and welfare of others.
Applications may be submitted by completing this form by February 1, 2025. Selected awardees will receive the honor at the 2025 Booker T. Washington Legacy Annual Event Saturday, April 26, 2025. Join us in recognition of those who continue the inspiring legacy of Booker T. Washington.
